John Barcham is an experienced general manager and project manager whose career spans entertainment, theatre, visitor attractions, interpretive environments, construction, public art, film and television. 

• Former General Manager, Creature Technology Company — responsible for operations, staffing, international client liaison and stakeholder management for one of Australia’s leading large-scale animatronic and theatrical production companies. 

• Major international productions — associated with Walking with Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular, How to Train Your Dragon – Arena Spectacular, King Kong and the giant animatronic mascots for the Sochi Winter Olympics. 

• Art Director / Project Manager, Jakarta Aquarium — worked on the development of the US$25 million visitor attraction in central Jakarta. 

• Extensive zoo and visitor-attraction experience — managed and directed projects for Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo including interpretive trails, animal exhibits and visitor experiences. 

• A Blanck Canvas — Project Management Consultant, Operations and Strategic Advisor since 2018. 

• Practising fine artist — has maintained a substantial painting and drawing practice alongside his management career, with solo exhibitions and repeated selection for the Mission to Seafarers Maritime Art Awards.
